Professor Han Jin-sook of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology is taking a commemorative photo after receiving the Prime Minister's Commendation at the 2021 Policy Communication Merit Awards.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Professor Han Jin-suk of the Hotel and Food Service Culinary Department at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology received the Prime Minister's Commendation in the policy communication content dissemination category at the ‘2021 Policy Communication Merit Awards’ hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
On the 29th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the 2021 Policy Communication Merit Awards ceremony at the Government Seoul Office in Jongno-gu, Seoul, recognizing individuals and organizations that actively contributed to communicating national agendas and major government policies.
Since 2012, Professor Han has served as the head of the Busanjin-gu Children's Meal Management Support Center, supporting systematic meal and nutrition management for 210 children's meal sites and a total of 9,466 children in Busanjin-gu, thereby creating a healthy dietary environment for children, for which she was awarded.
She was also recognized for her achievements in policy communication by producing various social media content to build consensus among parents regarding the center’s projects and promoting online policy communication.
Professor Han Jin-suk said, “This award is the result of the passion of the center staff who have worked together, the active participation of each children's meal site, and the cooperation of related organizations such as the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and the Busan City Health and Hygiene Division. I will do my best to make the center grow together with local institutions.”
Professor Han contributes to providing systematic meal nutrition management services to local residents through her roles as an advisor to the operating committee of the nation’s first community kitchen ‘Onmaeul Sarangchae,’ a member of the Busan City Food Promotion Fund Deliberation Committee, and a member of the Busan City Elderly Welfare Policy Committee.
