Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on the 9th that it will increase the number of trains in operation during the Memorial Day holiday next month.
A total of 18 additional train services will be operated over two days. On June 3rd (Friday), 2 additional ITX-Saemaeul trains will run, and on Memorial Day, June 6th (Monday), 14 KTX trains and 2 ITX-Saemaeul trains will be added. The total number of additional seats will be 13,000.
KORAIL has been increasing train services mainly on routes with high passenger demand by analyzing train usage patterns during holiday periods.
