[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, criticized the Democratic Party of Korea's opposition to the confirmation of the Prime Minister, saying it is a situation where they are "beating the people."
On the 8th, Lee said on his Facebook, "The Democratic Party's refusal to agree to the confirmation of Prime Minister nominee Han Duck-soo even two days before the launch of the Yoon Seok-yeol government is literally a situation where they are beating the people during the regime transition process."
He continued, "All the reckless legislative pushes causing political strife, Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, forcibly running without justification, and actively obstructing the cabinet's launch are all because the Democratic Party secretly has a strong will to reject the election results."
Lee urged the Democratic Party to 'cooperate.' He emphasized, "The Democratic Party should now understand the will of the people who entrusted the regime back to the People Power Party after five years," and "Although it is late, they must cooperate with the confirmation of the Prime Minister and the launch of the cabinet."
