[Asia Economy (Bucheon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is partnering with Pocheon City and others to carry out a vocational education and training project.
The foundation announced on the 8th that it signed a written business agreement on the 6th with the city and county job centers of Pocheon, Gunpo, and Hanam to promote the "City and County Customized Vocational Education and Training Support Public Project."
Earlier, the foundation called for applications for the city and county customized vocational training project targeting city and county job centers within the province last month.
After internal and external expert evaluations, the foundation selected ▲ Gunpo City's Smart Factory Workforce Training Course ▲ Pocheon City's Distribution and Logistics Expert Course ▲ Hanam City's Employment Competency Enhancement Support Project.
According to the agreement on this day, the foundation will provide a total of 61.9 million KRW to the three city and county job centers.
To enhance the effectiveness of this project, the foundation plans to conduct expert consulting on the public project and subsequently produce an operation manual to distribute to the city and county job centers.
Jo Eun-joo, Head of the Employment Foundation Division at the foundation, said, "We will support the improvement of city and county job outcomes by successfully promoting regionally specialized job project models," adding, "Through mutual growth between the province and cities/counties, we will strengthen the metropolitan functions of the Gyeonggi-do Job Centers operated by the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation."
Meanwhile, as a job hub institution, the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation supports improving city and county job outcomes, activating job networks, and enhancing the capabilities of vocational counselors through the Gyeonggi-do Job Centers.
