T'way Air Gifts 'Healing Trip' to Firefighters: "You Worked Hot, Now Leave Cool"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] T'way Air is gifting refreshing healing trips to firefighters.

T'way Air announced on the 6th that, together with the Korea Firefighters Association, it will resume the free travel support campaign called "You Worked Hard, Now Travel Cool!" starting this year, aimed at boosting firefighters' morale and alleviating PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), which has been ongoing since 2017. So far, T'way Air has gifted overseas trips to about 50 firefighters to destinations such as Japan, Vietnam, and Saipan, where it operates flights.

T'way Air is accepting applications for free travel participation from firefighters nationwide from today until the 24th. Twenty participants will be selected to receive a free trip to Jeju Island. The winners will be announced on the 27th.

There are two ways to apply for the trip: participating through T'way Air's Instagram or writing and sending a story via email. First, applicants can select the firefighter travel AR filter on T'way Air's Instagram account, take photos or videos, and upload them to their story or feed with the required hashtags (#YouWorkedHardNowTravelCool, #Firefighter, #TwayAir) to participate. Alternatively, applicants can write why they need to travel and their affiliation, then submit it via the provided email address.

Selected firefighters will receive round-trip airline tickets (2 per person) on T'way Air's Jeju route and a 2-night accommodation voucher at Shinhwa World Landing Hall. Additionally, the service will be expanded to include rental cars, flights, accommodations, and travel content, with full support for rental car usage fees provided through Jeju Pass, a mobility platform offering one-stop integrated reservation services for Jeju travel.

T'way Air has signed a business agreement with the National Fire Agency to boost firefighters' morale and raise safety awareness, conducting various activities such as supporting healing trips, offering airfare discounts for firefighter families, conducting joint safety training, and providing emergency exit seats. The airline has received the Fire Chief's Commendation twice.

A T'way Air official said, "We are honored to resume the travel support campaign started to cheer on the hard work and dedication of firefighters and to be able to give them strength again. We will continue various collaborations for not only refreshing rest for firefighters but also shared responsibility for safety."
