[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in will pay respects at the National Cemetery in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 9th, his last day in office.
The Blue House announced on the 6th, "President Moon and First Lady Kim Jung-sook will visit the National Seoul Cemetery with the Prime Minister and Cabinet members to lay flowers and incense, and commemorate the patriotic martyrs and war heroes."
Following this, the President and First Lady will pay respects at the Independence Patriots' Cemetery in Hyochang Park, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, where the graves of provisional government leaders and the three martyrs are located. President Moon was the first sitting president to visit the Independence Patriots' Cemetery in Hyochang Park on Liberation Day in 2017, and during his term, he visited this site several times on March 1st and Liberation Day.
Also, on the morning of the 9th, President Moon will deliver a farewell speech at the Blue House main building, reflecting on his five-year term and addressing the nation, and will leave work at 6 p.m. that day to spend his final hours in office outside.
