[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Dong-joo] On May 5th, Children's Day, children visiting the 'Doll Mask Gwanghwamun Guard Ceremony' event in front of Gwanghwamun at Gyeongbokgung Palace in Jongno-gu, Seoul, are enjoying their time taking commemorative photos with guards wearing doll masks.
At this event, a total of eight guards and guard soldiers wearing doll masks of the guard character will conduct the Gwanghwamun guard ceremony and demonstrate the changing of the guard. The Gyeongbokgung Palace guard changing ceremony was first held in 2002 and is a representative cultural event of the royal palace celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
