[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 4th, 15 executives including Acting Mayor Shin Jong-woo of Jinju City, Gyeongnam, conducted a final on-site inspection at Jinju Fortress, the venue of the 21st Jinju Nonggae Festival.

The inspection focused primarily on safety and convenience at temporary facilities such as two stages inside Jinju Fortress, booths, camping tents, as well as the water stage and spectator seats around Uiam.

They also checked visitor routes, traffic measures, waste disposal, and potential issues that could arise during the event period along with solutions.

Acting Mayor Shin Jong-woo of Jinju City said, “As this is the first festival held normally in three years since the lifting of social distancing, many tourists and citizens are expected to visit. We must prioritize preventing safety accidents at the festival site.”

Earlier, on the 3rd, Jinju City conducted a joint inspection with related organizations including Gyeongnam Province, Jinju Police Station, and Jinju Fire Station.

This year’s Jinju Nonggae Festival will be held for four days from the 5th to the 8th at Jinju Fortress and the Namgang area, featuring a total of 43 events including 16 main events and accompanying and side events.
