[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has been selected for the Ministry of Education’s ‘3rd Phase Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Leading Specialized College Development Project (LINC 3.0).’
Among 59 specialized colleges nationwide participating in the project, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology was selected for the LINC 3.0 demand-customized growth type following LINC phases 1 and 2.
LINC 3.0 is a project that aims to advance the achievements of phases 1 and 2 and support the cultivation of future talent and the development of industry-academia integrated specialized colleges through the expansion of industry-academia-research cooperation growth models. The project will be implemented over six years (3+3) starting from 2022.
Dong-Eui Institute of Technology plans to pursue strategies including ▲systematizing talent cultivation for future industries ▲creating high value-added industry-academia integrated specialized colleges ▲strengthening the foundation for sustainability in industry-academia-research cooperation ▲building a shared and collaborative ecosystem for mutual growth, under the goal of ‘Growing into an industry-academia integrated specialized college cultivating future talent by expanding the ACE leading model in the E-Life Care field.’
The university plans to establish organic cooperative relationships between the university and local industries by building facilities such as the Industry Collaboration Center (ICC), Industry-Academia Cooperation Enterprise Support Center, and ALL TOGETHER Shared Collaboration Center.
The university will also promote students’ on-site job experience and enhancement of specialized major practical skills through ▲implementation of standard and long-term field practice semester systems ▲execution of capstone design projects linked with companies ▲operation of customized curricula by department.
President Kim Young-do said, “E-Life Care is an expansion of Busan Metropolitan City’s seven strategic industries in the life care sector, and based on the industry-academia-research cooperation specialized college development project, we aim to contribute to the co-growth of the university and local community.”
