Enjoy the Spring Vibes in Damyang: Damyang-gun Prepares Alternative Events for May Festivals

Photo Zones Filled with Spring Flower Vibes Installed Throughout Tourist Attractions

Diverse Events Including Tourist Participation Activities and Busking Performances Scheduled

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 3rd, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will welcome spring tourists with various attractions and activities instead of holding a festival.

Earlier, the county and the Damyang Bamboo Festival Committee decided to cancel the 22nd Bamboo Festival to ensure the safety of residents and tourists.

However, instead, photo zones will be set up at major tourist sites, and various events and performances will be held to provide enjoyment for visitors to Damyang in May.

At Yeongsangang Cultural Park, a spring flower tree and a wedding photo shoot concept photo zone were installed for couples, and tulip lights were set up around the Children's Provence windmill to create an exotic atmosphere. Bamboo wish lanterns were installed throughout Gwanbangjerim, making it a pleasant path for nighttime strolls.

The county plans to hold a spring photo zone certification shot event, where posting photos and travel reviews on the Damyang-gun Instagram will give 45 people a week a small gift. Detailed information can be found on Damyang-gun's official Instagram.

Additionally, at Yeongsangang Cultural Park and Children's Provence, face painting events and balloon sharing events will be held to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Children's Day, and during the holiday period, busking performances by cultural artists will be prepared at Juknokwon and Meta Land to delight tourists' eyes and ears.

Furthermore, at the Tourist Information Center, an event will be held to print Damyang tourism photos for free for the first 300 people per day, and at Damyang Market Mall, where you can enjoy fully bloomed rapeseed flowers, a 20% discount sale on agricultural specialty products will be held throughout May for those holding admission tickets to county tourist sites.
