Graph DB specialist Bitnine announced the launch of its new relational DBMS product, ‘AgensSQL,’ and stated its intention to expand its business area into relational databases (DB).
Bitnine has been developing database products with global R&D centers located in the United States and Pakistan. The global R&D centers also lead the global open-source project ‘Apache AGE.’
The new product AgensSQL is tailored to the domestic database environment, enhancing the PostgreSQL engine with additional security, operation, and management features. It provides enterprise-grade tools that prevent server overload and enable distributed data storage, along with advanced technical support services.
Bitnine CEO Kang Cheolsun said, “The launch of a relational DB by a graph DB specialist company carries significant meaning for the overall database market,” adding, “We will actively target the domestic relational DB market, which is worth approximately 400 billion KRW, to increase market share and use this as a driving force to expand our database business.”
