Refusal to Dispatch National Air Force to 'Tiger Meet'
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Nayeon] Turkey has refused to dispatch its air force to the NATO exercise "Tiger Meet" held in Greece, Sputnik News reported on the 30th local time.
According to the report, Turkey decided not to participate in the exercise, stating that "Greece is manipulating the exercise to suit its political interests," and conveyed this decision to the Greek authorities.
Both Turkey and Greece are NATO member countries.
The two countries have experienced conflicts, including coming close to armed clashes in 2020 when Turkey conducted resource exploration in the Eastern Mediterranean, which Greece considers its exclusive economic zone.
