[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Social enterprise Cheonnyeon Nuri, supported by SK Innovation, announced on the 30th that it will directly ship and sell 'Jeonju Bibim Bread,' made from Korean agricultural products, to the United States by air.
Cheonnyeon Nuri plans to sell 4,000 units of Jeonju Bibim Bread through 'Ultari Mall,' an online shopping mall that sells Korean agricultural products in the U.S. Ultari Mall created a 'Local Specialties' section, and Jeonju Bibim Bread was selected as the first product. Once Jeonju Bibim Bread is listed on Ultari Mall, consumers will be able to purchase it regularly from the mall. Cheonnyeon Nuri aims to promote the traditional Korean taste in the U.S. while building global market competitiveness.
Cheonnyeon Nuri is a social enterprise that produces Jeonju Bibim Bread, which contains Jeonju Bibimbap in bread form, as well as Jeonju Choco Pie and Jeonju Tteokgalbi Bread. By selling products made from Korean wheat and rice, it has contributed to increasing farmers' income. It has also created social value by employing vulnerable groups such as the elderly. With its expansion into the U.S., it is expected to generate even greater social value.
Cheonnyeon Nuri also announced that 'Jeonju Bibim Noodles,' made from eco-friendly agricultural products from Jeonju City, Jeollabuk-do, have been listed in over 500 nationwide stores of 'Chorokmaeul,' an organic specialty market. Jeonju Bibim Noodles are vegan products developed with 100% plant-based ingredients through technical support from the Jeonju Agricultural Life Material Research Institute.
