[Asia Economy Reporters Hyunju Lee and Hyunji Kwon] Kwon Seong-dong, floor leader of the People Power Party, announced on the 29th that he will officially request a meeting with President Moon Jae-in, demanding the exercise of a veto regarding the passage of the 'complete prosecution reform' bill.

At the floor strategy meeting held that day, Floor Leader Kwon said, "I will meet President Moon directly to explain in detail the unconstitutionality of the complete prosecution reform bill and the illegality of the parliamentary process, and convey the public's concerns and voices of opposition."

He added, "Even if the unconstitutional complete prosecution reform bill passes the National Assembly, if the President is confident in his five years of governance, I ask him to dispel public concerns by exercising his veto power."

Floor Leader Kwon also stated, "Our People Power Party has already filed an injunction to suspend the effect of the Prosecutors' Office Act amendment due to the hasty processing, and we strongly urge the Constitutional Court to make a decision before the plenary session vote."
