Next Month on the 7th-8th at Munhwa Nuri Ureuk Hall
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk, will hold a free performance of the premium musical ‘Gayatgo’ during the Daegaya Experience Festival.
The county will present the musical ‘Gaya’s Goddesses’ three times at Munhwa Nuri Ureuk Hall on the 7th of next month at 3 PM and 6 PM, and on the 8th at 1:30 PM.
This year marks the 11th performance, newly produced under the theme ‘Gaya’s Goddesses,’ incorporating Goryeong’s story resources such as Daegaya’s mountain spirit Jeonggyeonmoju and the Gayageum into the work.
Among the 32 cast members, six residents of Goryeong-gun also participate as actors. By producing content utilizing local cultural resources and direct resident participation, the event also brings effects such as revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs.
For viewers who cannot attend in person, the performance on the 7th at 6 PM will be broadcast live through the YouTube channel.
A Goryeong-gun official said, “The musical ‘Gayatgo’ is a representative cultural content utilizing local resources and plays a leading role in the cultural prosperity of Gyeongbuk. We hope visitors to the Daegaya Experience Festival enjoy various sights and experiences and make good memories.”
