Wake Up Your Sleeping Love Cells! Gumi-si Announces Recruitment for 'Unmarried Men and Women Couple Matching' Participants

Unmarried Men and Women Aged 26-39 with Address or Workplace in Gumi City Eligible to Apply

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Gumi City, Gyeongbuk Province, is recruiting participants for a single men and women couple matching event.

The city is accepting applications from June 2 to June 7 for the single men and women couple matching program "Dugeun Dugeun ~ing," which facilitates healthy meetings among unmarried men and women to promote positive perceptions of marriage and create a family-friendly atmosphere.

"Dugeun Dugeun ~ing" has been promoting meetings for young men and women who have not had opportunities to meet the opposite sex in their busy daily lives, due to changes in values such as marriage avoidance, non-marriage, and late marriage, which have led to a decline in marriage rates.

Now in its 8th edition this year, the event will be held on June 25 at Hotel Geumosan.

It is expected to provide a natural meeting place for young people interested in marriage but whose opportunities to meet have decreased due to COVID-19.

Applicants must be unmarried men and women aged 26 to 39 who reside or work in Gumi City. Applications along with required documents such as the application form, marriage relation certificate, resident registration, employment certificate, and final academic certificate should be submitted to the Gumi City branch of the One More Child Movement Federation.

So far, a total of 196 pairs have participated, resulting in 79 couples, among which 13 couples have successfully married.

A Gumi City official said, "We hope that more couples will be formed this year and that they will find their life partners. Gumi City looks forward to the active participation of unmarried men and women."
