More 'Eoreuni' Adults Are Signing Up for Children's Insurance

[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Recently, there has been growing attention to children's insurance among adults under the age of 30.

On the 28th, the Life Insurance Association announced that there is a trend of preference for children's insurance among young working adults.

This is explained by the fact that insurance companies have recently raised the eligible age for children's insurance enrollment to 30 years old, and that children's insurance has relatively lower premium burdens compared to disease and accident insurance products.

As the economic crisis continues, the average age of new college graduates entering the workforce is increasing, and children's economic independence is delayed, leading the parent generation to actively promote children's insurance enrollment out of concern for their health.

In response to these demographic changes and social phenomena, insurance companies are also actively responding by extending the enrollment age for children's insurance up to 30 years old and selling children's insurance products that provide coverage up to 100 years of age.

An association official stated, "The popularity of children's insurance reflects the needs of both people in their 20s who prioritize cost-effectiveness and the parent generation who want to support children with delayed economic independence."
