Jinnam Scholarship Foundation Awards 33.5 Million KRW Scholarship at Jinnam Art Hall

67.16 Million KRW Granted to 1,428 Students Over 25 Years

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] The Jinnam Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Park Jeong-chae) in Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do, announced that on the 27th, at the 25th Jinnam Scholarship Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony held at Jinnam Art Hall in Bonggye-dong, Yeosu-si, scholarships totaling 33.5 million KRW were awarded to 17 high school students and 25 university students.

The Jinnam Scholarship Foundation was established in 1996 when the chairman donated scholarship funds with the philosophy of "returning corporate profits to society" to encourage students from underprivileged and marginalized local areas.

Since the first scholarship distribution in October of the following year, the foundation has continued its scholarship program for 25 years, establishing itself as a cradle for nurturing talented individuals who give dreams and hope to local youth.

The foundation awards scholarships of 500,000 KRW to high school students and 1,000,000 KRW to university students, having provided a total of 671.6 million KRW to 1,428 recipients so far.

Chairman Park Jeong-chae stated, "With the philosophy that corporate profits should be returned to society, we will strive to enable more students to benefit from scholarships," and added, "We will take the lead in empowering and encouraging local youth who are the future leaders of Yeosu."

Meanwhile, a city official said, "Since its establishment, the Jinnam Scholarship Foundation has consistently provided scholarships, greatly helping local students to pursue their dreams," and expressed gratitude to the foundation's staff.
