Changwon City to Host Various Events Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Children's Day

Changwon City to Host Various Events Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Children's Day On Children's Day in 2019, Heo Seong-mu, Mayor of Changwon, personally participated in the 119 Fire Safety Experience along with presenting commendations to exemplary children.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jucheol In] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, will hold the "44th Gyeongnam Children's Grand Festival" on May 5th at the MBC Gyeongnam Hall to celebrate the "100th Anniversary of Children's Day."


In the first part of the ceremony, the Children's Rights Charter will be read, and awards will be presented to exemplary children and contributors to child welfare. In the second part, congratulatory performances such as K-POP cover dance, Taekwondo & Comic Martial Arts (Charyeok), and a musical animation gala show will be held. The event will be broadcast live on TV and YouTube.


The Changwon Cultural Foundation will hold a picture book concert titled "My Heart Beats Fast" at 5 p.m. on the same day at the Seongsan Art Hall Grand Theater.


The Masan Culture and Arts Center plans to hold the "Changwon Children's Creative Dream Yard" (a poetry and prose contest and art practice) for kindergarten and elementary school students from 10 a.m. to noon on the 5th at the Citizen Theater and Odongdong Culture Square.


The Choi Yoon-deok Library has been operating the "Dream Kids Job Experience" in celebration of Children's Day since the 23rd of last month. The event will continue until May 28th.
