Gwangsan-gu Unnam Children's Library will hold a 'Children's Week' event from May 1 to May 7.
Along with an art printing exhibition of Kim Seong-mi's picture book "Pig Dream," children's reading experience programs such as "Precious Dreams Wiggle Wiggle" dreamcatcher making (May 3) and "I Know My Heart" emotion doll making (May 6) will also be operated.
On the 7th, a lecture by writer Han Ki-cheol will be held under the theme "Playing at Home with Family Without Worrying About COVID-19."
In particular, on this day, a 'Bookstart Book Package' consisting of an eco bag, guidebook, and two picture books will be distributed free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis to infants and toddlers residing in Gwangsan-gu (birth to 60 months) with the purpose of "Starting Life with Books."
At the Gwangsan Culture and Arts Center, the 100th anniversary Children's Day commemorative performance "Brave Tanti" will be held from May 5 to May 7. It is a performance that children and parents can enjoy together, and tickets can be reserved for free viewing on the Gwangsan Culture and Arts Center website.
To allow children exhausted from COVID-19 to play freely, support for amusement park use is also provided.
Gwangsan-gu provided free amusement park passes to 1,250 children who wished to participate among children using 83 local child welfare facilities. Children will freely visit amusement parks by facility, such as local children's centers, child care facilities, and community care centers, to have enjoyable times with children.
On the 30th, a "Spring Amusement Park Outing" will be gifted to 56 families and 104 members of Dream Start children and families. Gwangsan-gu plans to provide various programs such as zoo visits and family photo sessions to promote physical and emotional vitality and create memories among families, along with amusement park admission support.
Hwang Solchon provided desired Children's Day gifts to 31 children in Gwangsan-gu group homes. This is according to the sharing business agreement signed on the 6th between Gwangsan-gu and child group homes.
