[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] Ukraine pointed out that the explosions that occurred in the border region of Russia are Russia's 'karma.'
On the 27th (local time), explosions occurred at an oil depot and an ammunition depot in Belgorod Oblast, western Russia, adjacent to the Ukrainian border. Earlier, on the 25th, an explosion also occurred at an oil depot in Bryansk City, located 154 km northeast of the Ukrainian border.
Regarding this, Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to the President of Ukraine, said on Telegram that the series of explosions occurring in the Russian border areas adjacent to Ukraine are "karma for invading Ukraine," adding, "If one country decides to attack another, the debt for the attack must inevitably be repaid."
However, Advisor Podolyak did not acknowledge that Ukraine attacked the oil and ammunition depots in Russia, stating that "there can be various reasons for the destruction of Russia's military infrastructure."
Some speculate that Ukraine is highly likely to have attacked Russian military facilities. Rob Lee, a military expert at King's College London, analyzed footage of the fire at the Bryansk oil depot in an interview with The Times and said, "It appears to be an airstrike or missile attack," evaluating that "there is a high possibility that a Tochka-U tactical ballistic missile was used."
