[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Hong Kong actor Kenneth Tsang (曾江, Jeung Gong), known for his roles in the 'A Better Tomorrow' series, passed away on the 27th at a hotel in Hong Kong where he was in quarantine, according to reports by HK01 and others. He was 87 years old.
Tsang died while quarantining at the Kowloon Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui after returning to Hong Kong from a trip to Singapore.
Although he tested negative for COVID-19 the day before, quarantine staff found no response when they checked his room that morning, and the police discovered his body inside around noon.
Tsang, who debuted in the 1950s, appeared alongside Chow Yun-fat (周潤發, Ju Yunbal) in popular Hong Kong films of the 1980s such as the 'A Better Tomorrow' series.
He entered Hollywood in 1998 and appeared in films including 'The Replacement Killers,' '007: Tomorrow Never Dies,' and 'Memoirs of a Geisha.'
