[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The accommodation and activity platform Yanolja is making a full-scale entry into the overseas travel market.
Yanolja announced on the 27th that it has launched a real-time flight ticket reservation service. By integrating systems from 10 airlines, it sells flight tickets in real time not only domestically but also internationally. Through the Yanolja application, users can check the quantity and price of flight tickets in real time and book tickets by applying special prices and discount benefits unique to Yanolja.
The core of this overseas travel service is an aggressive business strategy of "zero commission." By eliminating the commission paid by customers, price competitiveness has been strengthened. Without the ticketing fee of up to 40,000 KRW (round-trip for two people on overseas travel), Yanolja customers can experience the "lowest price."
With this, Yanolja has grown into a travel and leisure company covering both overseas and domestic markets. The recognition and expertise accumulated since starting accommodation reservations in 2014 are drawing attention, and expectations are high ahead of the endemic phase. The successful experience in domestic businesses such as activities, transportation, restaurants, and space rentals is expected to expand into the overseas travel sector. Yanolja plans to sequentially announce overseas accommodation and related products within this year.
A teaser page will be open until the 2nd of next month ahead of the "grand open" of the real-time flight ticket service. Benefits will be provided to those who apply for advance notification of the page opening. If flight tickets are booked by the end of next month, 1,000 people will be selected by lottery and receive a 10,000 KRW payback. Those who purchase flight tickets after applying for the open notification will be automatically entered. In addition, various benefits have been prepared along with the opening of the flight service. Jinseong Kim, Yanolja's Chief Strategy Officer, said, "Starting with flight tickets, we plan to expand various overseas travel services such as accommodation and present large-scale benefits to appeal to customers."
