[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is launching an online marketer training program targeting 100 vulnerable individuals with strong employment intentions, including people with disabilities, the elderly, and basic livelihood security recipients.
This project involves five organizations selected through Gyeonggi Province's public contest process: Gyeonggi-do Disabled Informatization Association Goyang Branch and Ansan Branch, Korea Disabled Informatization Association Gyeonggi Namyangju Branch and Icheon Branch, and Media Video Silver Academy.
Applications for the training are accepted at each educational institution, and vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, seniors aged 55 and over, single parents, marriage immigrants, North Korean defectors, and basic livelihood security recipients are eligible to apply.
The online marketer training will be conducted over a total of nine months from this month through December, providing startup education and practical sales support training covering topics such as online shopping mall product registration and management methods, sales techniques, business registration certificate issuance procedures, and marketing strategies.
Additionally, to strengthen trainees' product sales capabilities, costs for open market solutions (programs that support bulk product registration on online shopping malls) will also be supported.
This year, an advanced course has been newly established for graduates of the online marketer program.
Ryu In-kwon, Director of the Gyeonggi Province Planning and Coordination Office, emphasized, "We hope that the Gyeonggi Province online marketer training project will help vulnerable groups facing employment difficulties due to COVID-19 and other factors. We will continue to do our best to support education so that more vulnerable individuals can pursue their dreams of becoming online marketers."
Meanwhile, last year, 80.3% (57 out of 71) of the trainees obtained business registration certificates.
