Sinan-gun, Imja Tulip Park Attracts Spring Visitors

Over 100,000 Visitors Flock to Spring Scents Despite Tulip Festival Cancellation

Sinan-gun, Imja Tulip Park Attracts Spring Visitors

[Sinan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Although Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, completely canceled the Tulip Festival due to COVID-19, the spring fragrance of the Tulip Park is attracting tourists.

Since the cancellation decision, the Tulip Park, which opened on the 8th, has seen a continuous stream of visitors, with about 100,000 tourists visiting throughout this month.

The park is in full bloom with 1 million tulips of 35 varieties, and various walking trails such as the Hongmaehwa Garden, Carnation Camellia Garden, and Baby Camellia Forest Path have been created.

In particular, Imjado, linked with Daegwang Beach, which received the Blue Flag international beach certification in 2021, and the Jo Hee-ryong Art Museum, has established itself as a new tourist attraction in Sinan where people can heal and recover from the fatigue caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

An official from Sinan-gun said, "We hope that the public, exhausted from the prolonged COVID-19 situation, can recover their tired body and mind and have a chance to return to daily life at Daegwang Beach, which has a vast 12km white sandy beach along with the splendid tulips," adding, "We will also create cosmos, sunflowers, and other flowers in preparation for the summer beach opening."
