[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in and his wife visited the Jongno-gu Public Health Center on the morning of the 25th and received their 4th COVID-19 booster shot with the Pfizer vaccine.

President Moon asked Lee Hwa-sun, head of the Health Promotion Division at Jongno-gu Public Health Center, "Is the vaccination for ages 5 to 11 somewhat sluggish?" after receiving the shot before First Lady Kim Jung-sook that day. In response, Lee said, "There seem to be many concerns and hesitations."

President Moon then said, "The 4th booster shot should receive more positive responses," to which Lee replied, "It will be like that going forward."

The Jongno-gu Public Health Center is where President Moon and his wife received their 1st and 2nd doses.

The President and his wife received their 3rd dose on October 15 last year at the Central Vaccination Center within the National Medical Center. Since the National Medical Center currently does not administer COVID-19 vaccinations, they received their 4th dose at the Jongno-gu Public Health Center where they had their 1st and 2nd doses.

The Blue House stated, "This 4th dose vaccination for President Moon and his wife was carried out in accordance with the 4th dose plan for seniors aged 60 and over, announced and implemented by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency on April 13."

The 4th dose can be administered at least four months after the 3rd dose.
