JW JoongWoe Pharmaceutical launches silicone patch 'HiMomBand ScarSpot' for facial scars

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] JW Pharmaceutical announced on the 25th that it has launched ‘HiMom Band Scar Spot,’ which is effective for managing small-sized scars.

HiMom Band Scar Spot is a silicone gel patch product that manages linear, flat, keloid, and hypertrophic scar areas. Silicone prevents moisture loss from the skin and reduces abnormal collagen synthesis involved in scar formation.

With a size similar to an acne patch (12 mm in diameter) and a thin thickness (0.15 mm), it offers excellent adhesion and does not require a secondary dressing to fix the patch, enhancing ease of use.

A JW Pharmaceutical official said, “HiMom Band Scar Spot is a spot patch product, not an ointment or a cut-to-use type, allowing convenient scar management not only during the day but also at night when skin regeneration is activated. We will strengthen marketing that highlights the specialized features of HiMom Band tailored to different wound types.”
