Gyeongsang National University Holds Briefing Session for This Year's 'Gyeongnam Jinju Small Giant R&D Special Zone' Development Project Gyeongnam Jinju Small Giant Special Zone Development Project Briefing Session.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Gyeongsang National University Gyeongnam Jinju Small Giant Special Zone Support Center held the '2022 Gyeongnam Jinju Small Giant Research and Development Special Zone Promotion Project Briefing' on the 21st at the BNIT R&D Center conference room on the Gajwa Campus.


About 60 people attended the briefing, including Kim Byung-moo, Director of the Jinju City Economic and Trade Bureau, related organization officials, and representatives of companies within the special zone.


The event was organized to share the achievements of the Gyeongnam Jinju Small Giant Special Zone and explain this year's promotion plans for the Small Giant Special Zone to activate business participation by companies. Following last year, it was held simultaneously online and offline this year as well.


The Gyeongnam Jinju Small Giant Special Zone was established based on the R&D foundation of public research institutions to create new technologies, disseminate achievements, and promote commercialization. Since its designation in 2019, it has been growing into a global aerospace innovation cluster.


This year's Gyeongnam Jinju Small Giant Special Zone projects include ▲ Bidirectional Technology Discovery Linked Support Project ▲ Innopolis Campus Project ▲ Regional Specialization Promotion Project ▲ Innovation Network Operation Project.


Among these, the Innopolis Campus Project supports prospective entrepreneurs with prototype production, marketing support, mentoring, and startup education, and is recruiting prospective entrepreneurs until May 20.


The Regional Specialization Promotion Project supports companies in specialized and related fields, provides technology consulting, and aerospace technology and management education, with company support project applications scheduled to begin in May.


Moon Yong-ho, Director of the Gyeongnam Jinju Small Giant Special Zone Support Center, said, “We hope this will be a starting point to secure competitiveness in the aerospace industry and will make the Gyeongnam Jinju Small Giant Special Zone grow into a global aerospace innovation cluster.”
