At a press conference held at the National Assembly after being confirmed as the candidate for Governor of Gyeonggi Province, Rep. Kim said, "I think everyone who exercised their voting rights looked at who has the competitiveness for the general election in their hearts and made their judgment accordingly," and added, "I am a field-oriented person who judges the economy by numbers, but I am trained to read the stories of each individual beyond the numbers. As a governor who acts faster than words, I want to help the residents of Gyeonggi Province truly feel the development of their lives and the recovery of their daily lives."
When asked about being selected as a candidate through the support of party members rather than opinion polls, she said, "I do not know the exact figures as they were not disclosed to all candidates," but also mentioned, "I do not think party sentiment and public sentiment are separate."
Regarding her victory in the party primary, she also revealed plans to prepare for winning the general election. Rep. Kim stated, "From today onward, I plan to take time to refine my own ideas and strategies, including the campaign team, to defeat the opposing candidate," and added, "After that, I intend to go into the hearts of the residents of Gyeonggi Province."
Meanwhile, in a statement about her primary victory, Rep. Kim promised, "I will create a prosperous Gyeonggi, a premium Gyeonggi," and pledged, "I will become the Iron Lady of Gyeonggi Province who always keeps her promises."
