Speaker Park held a press conference in his office and stated, "I have always believed that no matter how excellent a policy is, it cannot succeed without the support of the people," adding, "Today, I delivered the Speaker's final mediation proposal to the floor leaders of both ruling and opposition parties regarding the prosecution reform bill."
He continued, "The political conflict between the ruling and opposition parties was so intense that creating a mediation proposal was not easy," and emphasized, "I strongly urge both parties to accept the Speaker's mediation proposal at their respective party meetings today."
