KB Kookmin Bank Donates to the National Disaster Relief Association

[Asia Economy Reporter Sim Nayoung] KB Kookmin Bank (President Lee Jae-geun) announced on the 20th that it donated approximately 230 million KRW to the National Disaster Relief Association to support wildfire victims and Ukrainian refugees.

The donation ceremony held at the National Disaster Relief Association building in Mapo-gu, Seoul, was attended by Kang Mi-jung, KB Kookmin Bank Central Region Group Representative, Kim Jeong-hee, Secretary General of the National Disaster Relief Association, and officials from both organizations.

This donation was raised through the "Donation Collection Service" conducted via KB Star Banking, internet and phone banking, and ATMs. The "Donation Collection Service" was launched in March to allow customers who wish to help with the recovery and support of residents affected by the wildfires in the East Coast region to easily participate in donations.

A KB Kookmin Bank official stated, "We hope those affected by the wildfire damage and the Ukraine situation can return to their daily lives as soon as possible," and added, "We will continue to do our best to provide prompt support to those in need."

Meanwhile, KB Financial Group donated 1 billion KRW for the rapid recovery and relief of disaster victims in the wildfire-affected areas and implemented additional emergency financial support programs at the group level. They also provided 1,200 disaster relief kits (including blankets, hygiene products, and medicines) for disaster victims and urgently supported meal and laundry vehicles for residents and firefighters on site.
