'K-Indie Music Night' at New York Lincoln Center... Jannabi and Annyeongbada's First Performance Jannabi

[Asia Economy New York=Special Correspondent Joselgina] A Korean indie music concert will be held at Lincoln Center in New York, USA. Jannabi and Annyeongbada will take the stage as the first Korean indie bands.

The Korean Cultural Center in New York announced on the 20th (local time) that it will co-host the 'K-Indie Music Night' concert on July 27 with Lincoln Center, a representative cultural and artistic venue in New York. This is the first large-scale Korean indie music concert to be held at Lincoln Center.

Two bands, Jannabi and Annyeongbada, have been invited to this concert. Jannabi, a group presenting vintage pop music, is expected to perform hit songs such as "For Hesitant Lovers" and "The Hot Summer Night Passes and What Remains is Pitiful." Annyeongbada, a modern rock band formed in 2006, will also convey the sensibility of Korean indie band music with their representative song "Starlight Falls."

This concert, which will take place at the outdoor venue Damrosch Park, is one of the official programs of Lincoln Center's event "Summer for the City." The Korean Cultural Center in New York is in charge of overall programming planning.

Jo Yoonjeung, director of the Korean Cultural Center in New York, said, "The Cultural Center and Lincoln Center have collaborated mainly on traditional Korean music performances for the past 30 years, and recently have expanded the scope of Korean performances with K-pop programming centered on idol groups. This concert will be a meaningful opportunity to diversify the Korean Wave by introducing K-indie music for the first time and to broaden the base of the Korean Wave."

The K-Indie Music Night concert will be free of charge. Information on ticket applications and attendance will be announced later through the Korean Cultural Center in New York's website, Facebook, and Instagram.
