Gumi City and SK Siltron are signing a business agreement for the cultural city development project.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Gumi City in Gyeongbuk Province and SK Siltron have taken the first step toward creating a cultural city.
Gumi City announced on the 21st that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SK Siltron on the 19th to establish a cultural city.
The two organizations agreed on ▲creating a sustainable cultural city ▲establishing win-win measures through culture and arts ▲fostering a cultural corporate culture such as leisure-friendly company certification ▲developing the local cultural ecosystem ▲building and revitalizing cultural governance.
Gumi City plans to promote a cultural city creation project where companies and artists collaborate, aiming to enhance the social value of local arts and expand corporate ESG management.
Mayor Jang Se-yong said, “Companies are local assets and engines of development,” adding, “We will create a business structure where both companies and artists can achieve a win-win outcome.”
