Jeongeup-si to Host Academy with Writer Ryu Si-hyung on the 27th

[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk Province, announced on the 20th that it will hold the 100th Jeonghyangnuri Danpung Academy under the theme "400 Days of Kimchi Bus World Tour" at 2 p.m. on the 27th at the Yeonji Art Hall performance venue.

This special lecture will be given by writer and chef Ryu Sihyung, who has broken life’s prejudices through extensive travel and created a new brand.

Ryu Sihyung, who is active in many fields such as writing, business, and broadcasting, is a representative kimchi ambassador and cultural planner who has traveled around the world including Russia, North America, and Europe to promote kimchi and Korean food culture.

In this lecture, Ryu, nicknamed the "Optimist," will share valuable experiences and vivid stories gained by challenging what he wants to do, emphasizing the importance of youth to the citizens.

This special lecture will be held for the first 200 people on a first-come, first-served basis through a reservation system.

The Jeongeup Danpung Academy is a lecture program that delivers the expertise and life wisdom of prominent figures from various social fields to citizens, providing enjoyable and beneficial lifelong learning opportunities and aiming to enhance the value of citizens’ happiness.

A city official said, "We hope that citizens, who have been restrained after a long time of experiencing COVID-19, will take this opportunity through the lecture to reconsider the value of challenge and experience that they had momentarily forgotten."
