Fantagio Hosts Global Music Contest 'Fantagio Music Hackathon'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Comprehensive entertainment content company Fantagio is holding an online contest targeting the global music market for artists worldwide. The winning song from the contest will be used as the launch track for Fantagio’s upcoming NFT-based ‘Meta Idol.’

Fantagio announced on the 20th that it will hold its own music contest, the ‘Fantagio Music Hackathon.’ This contest will be conducted online, allowing participation not only from Korea but also from overseas, with no restrictions on nationality, education, gender, or age?anyone can participate.

Fantagio plans to award the first-place winner of the ‘Fantagio Music Hackathon’ approximately 20 million KRW in prize money and an NFT of the upcoming ‘Meta Idol’ as a reward. Additionally, Fantagio will provide rewards totaling about 40 million KRW for the top three winners.

Fantagio plans to introduce the virtual singer ‘Meta Idol’ to the public as its first NFT collection in collaboration with PellaZ, and the winning song from this contest will be used as the launch track.

Fantagio recently announced a collaboration with ‘PellaZ,’ a ‘NEW3 (Next Entertainment Web 3.0)’ platform, for an NFT project. NEW3 is a concept first introduced by PellaZ, referring to a ‘next-generation entertainment platform’ that combines the entertainment industry with Web 3.0 to create new value.

As the first participant in the NEW3 platform, Fantagio is providing various infrastructure such as specialized planning and know-how in the entertainment industry and is actively building its blockchain business.

A Fantagio representative said, “This contest is part of the NFT project Fantagio is preparing with PellaZ,” adding, “We will do our best to successfully carry out this event and further enhance our corporate value as a comprehensive entertainment content company.”

The application period for the Fantagio Music Hackathon is from the 25th to the 27th. After the application deadline, there will be a work and judging period before the final winners are selected.
