Up to 20 Million KRW Commercialization Funding for 12 Companies in 2 Fields
Expert Mentoring, Business Model Validation... Follow-up Support Including Investment Attraction and Marketing
Startup team selected as a specialized company in the Gangwon-type New Deal sector [Gangwon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation]
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangwon Province is launching support for startup companies in the 'Gangwon-type New Deal specialized fields.'
This project is a policy focused on nurturing very early-stage (less than 3 years since founding) startup companies with high growth potential, technological competitiveness, and business viability in Gangwon's specialized industries of 'Digital Healthcare' and 'Smart Tourism.'
According to the province on the 20th, a total of 12 companies selected in the two fields will receive up to 20 million KRW in commercialization funds, expert mentoring, and business model validation, supported in collaboration with regional institutions such as the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service and the Korea Tourism Organization.
Additionally, outstanding teams that pass step-by-step evaluations will receive follow-up support including investment attraction through investor presentations and marketing support programs.
The Gangwon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation signed agreements with the 12 companies selected for the '2022 Gangwon-type New Deal Specialized Field Startup Support Project' to implement this support policy.
In the digital healthcare field, six companies were selected: ▲MindHub (cognitive and language rehabilitation services specialized for brain disease patients) ▲Silvia Health (non-face-to-face cognitive health management services for the elderly) ▲Eunhye Sup (daily mental care solutions) ▲MediButton (patient medical record management platform) ▲ClickSound (App-linked smart splint for temporomandibular joint disorders) ▲Hesed Ridge (in-house welfare health management services).
In the smart tourism field, six companies were selected: ▲Gaegosaeng (real-time location tracking national registration chip for companion animals) ▲MyCulture (K-food cooking classes using Gangwon agricultural products) ▲Petel (accommodation reservation service for pet owners) ▲Prandit (travel service centered on local tourism based on sharing restaurant information) ▲Making Rabbit (immediate VAT refund platform for foreign tourists) ▲FAMO (family activity community platform).
