[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Daesun Brewery has joined the Red Cross Honours Companies, which support the humanitarian activities of the Korean Red Cross through large donations.


On the 18th, at the RCHC joint membership ceremony held in the mayor's reception room at Busan City Hall, Daesun Brewery CEO Jo Woo-hyun, Busan Mayor Park Hyung-jun, and local economic figures attended.


RCHC refers to individuals and organizations that have donated or pledged to donate a cumulative amount of 100 million KRW or more for Red Cross humanitarian projects.


Daesun Brewery became the 18th Red Cross Honours Company in Busan and the 167th corporation nationwide. They pledged a total sponsorship of 100 million KRW over five years.


Daesun Brewery's donations to the Korean Red Cross began 10 years ago.


In January 2011, funds raised through the "The Most Joyful Donation in the World, Joyfulye" campaign were entrusted to the Korean Red Cross.


Also, in June last year, they joined the "Right Spending Company" regular sponsorship campaign jointly promoted by Busan City and the Korean Red Cross, helping vulnerable groups facing economic difficulties due to COVID-19 and other causes.


Daesun Brewery CEO Jo Woo-hyun said, "We decided to support the Korean Red Cross's projects that help socially vulnerable neighbors," adding, "We will continue activities that deliver a helping hand of hope to the local community."
