Sambu Construction Wins 137.5 Billion KRW Contract for 'Pyeongtaek Dreamtech Industrial Complex Logistics Center Construction'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Sambutogeon announced on the 18th that it has won the contract for the construction of a new logistics center at Pyeongtaek Dreamtech Industrial Complex.

This project, commissioned by Dreamlogis, involves building a logistics warehouse with a total floor area of 113,760㎡ (34,412 pyeong) from basement level 1 to the 7th floor within Block 2 of the Pyeongtaek Dreamtech General Industrial Complex in Yulbuk-ri, Cheongbuk-eup, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do. The basement level 1 to the 3rd floor will be used as a cold storage warehouse, while the 4th to 7th floors will be used as ambient temperature storage.

The contract amount is 137.5 billion KRW, which corresponds to 42.9% of last year's sales of 320.6 billion KRW, and the construction period is 22 months.

The industrial complex where the logistics center will be located is in the northern part of Pyeongtaek-si, approximately 1 km from Eoeon IC on the Pyeongtaek-Paju Expressway, offering excellent highway accessibility. It also provides superior logistics access not only to the metropolitan area but to all regions across the country.

Additionally, it is located within a 15-minute distance (about 8 km) from Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Campus, making it convenient for related companies to move in, and it also allows for maritime logistics handling through Pyeongtaek Port.

According to a company official, "As the dawn delivery market for online and mobile, as well as the fresh food market, is growing and the importance of various parcel deliveries and logistics is emerging, demand for logistics centers in the metropolitan area is increasing." He added, "Since the Pyeongtaek logistics center is also located in the metropolitan area, it is expected to attract a lot of attention."
