[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 17th that it will install AI interpretation and translation devices in civil service offices to assist multicultural families and foreigners.
The interpretation and translation devices installed in the civil service offices can translate 65 languages in real-time through voice recognition, enabling prompt and accurate civil service for students from multicultural families and foreigners.
The number of students from multicultural families in Seoul increased from 11,642 in 2015 to 19,368 last year.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education expects to provide interactive communication and accurate civil services through real-time voice recognition interpretation and translation devices.
