Intops Conducts Tour of Hidalab, a Specialized CMF Library

[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Intops announced on the 15th that it conducted an offline tour of Hidalab, a CMF specialized library. CMF is a technical term referring to the three important elements designers consider when creating products: Color, Material, and Finish.

In October 2020, Intops opened the Hidalab website, a CMF specialized library, and established a CMF exhibition hall to propose various materials and related process technology trends to product designers and provide services that can be applied to actual mass-produced products.

This offline tour was held by inviting design industry professionals as well as university students majoring in related fields. Under the theme of "Sustainable Design in the Era of 필(必) Environment," the tour focused on eco-friendly materials and related processes, which are the most important topics. Intops allowed participants to see, hear, and touch CMF technologies applied to various products including mobile phones, electronic devices, automobiles, robots, medical, and beauty products.

Recently, the company has reorganized and expanded from the mobile parts sector to automobile parts, home appliance parts, and new business item sectors. Based on the "Paper Program" launched in 2015, it has been building a production collaboration system with many startups and continuously securing new contract manufacturing items such as rapid COVID-19 test kits and autonomous driving robots. Additionally, through manufacturing experience in each business sector, the company has accumulated expertise in various CMF technologies and is strengthening its CMF research and development capabilities through continuous workforce expansion.

Geunha Kim, CEO of Intops, stated, "As the demand from client product designers for new and innovative CMF solutions increases, we plan to demonstrate our capabilities to provide new inspiration and enable special design manufacturing that can practically differentiate brands." He added, "Since ESG management is an important topic in corporate management activities, we will focus our R&D efforts on developing and applying eco-friendly processes."
