Gwangju Dongbu Police Station, Promoting Posters for Creating Happy Classrooms Creating Safe and Happy Classrooms Free from School Violence

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Women and Youth Division of the Dongbu Police Station in Gwangju Metropolitan City has been producing and distributing posters using class group photos submitted from a total of 388 classes across 22 elementary, middle, and high schools in the district since the 15th, as part of the initiative to create "Safe and Happy Classrooms Free from School Violence."

These posters are not ordinary posters but unique to each class, symbolizing the entire class's participation in eradicating school violence. The posters feature photos with creative poses and spontaneous situations, which are being posted on each class's bulletin board.

In the future, based on school violence occurrence statistics, outstanding class photos will be selected and prizes will be awarded to those classes.

Additionally, as school violence becomes a hot issue in the new semester, students themselves are participating in school violence prevention and recognizing its dangers through education provided by school police officers along with promotional activities.

A police official stated, "Since this is a period when school violence incidents are a concern at the start of the semester, we will make further efforts to ensure safe and happy schools by conducting preventive education and active promotional activities."
