The Hair Design Department's major club, Gawison, at Gyeongnam Information College is donating their talents to the elderly through the 'Talent Donation Volunteer Program'.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The major club "Gawison" of the Hair Design Department at Gyeongnam Information University was selected for the "Talent Donation Volunteer Program in the Cultural Arts Field" this year, providing hairdressing talent donation services to local elderly people.
The talent donation volunteer program is a public contest project for volunteering related to one's major, hosted by the Busan Volunteer Center.
Gyeongnam Information University was the only university selected among the applying institutions.
The Hair Design Department at Gyeongnam Information University operates employment-guaranteed customized education linked with major-related clubs and famous hair brands such as ID Hair, Hwajiju Hair, Juno Hair, and Park Seung-chul Hair Studio.
Professor Yoo Eun-joo of the Hair Design Department said, "We will do our best to guide students to grow into beauty talents who practice service and sharing through talent donation that utilizes their major," and added, "We will continue to communicate more closely with the local community and extend helping hands through volunteer work."
