The city, in cooperation with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled Busan Regional Headquarters, will hold the "2022 Busan Disabled Online Job Fair" for two weeks from the 20th to the 4th.
It is expected that more than 50 recruiting companies and over 1,000 job-seeking people with disabilities will participate in the job fair. The city aims to achieve 80 employment placements through the fair.
The fair will be held online and is composed of various sections including ▲Online Recruitment Hall ▲Culture and Arts Hall ▲Information Hall ▲Side Events ▲Events.
This year, in response to increased social interest and demand for cultural rights, the "Culture and Arts Hall" will support people with disabilities active in the cultural and arts fields to grow as professional artists.
People with disabilities who wish to work in the cultural and arts sector can upload their portfolios on the website, which will be reviewed by companies and potentially lead to employment.
To motivate employment in the cultural and arts sector and increase corporate interest, a creative musical video for disability awareness by the musical troupe for people with developmental disabilities "High Five Chingudeul" is being screened, and works by the developmental disability painter group "Easy Together" are also exhibited.
On the 20th, in conjunction with the Disabled Persons Day commemorative event, promotion of the job fair will also take place.
Along with promoting the job fair, various offline events such as online experience events, employment tarot readings, nail art demonstrations by hearing-impaired artists, VR interview experiences, and photo zones will be held.
Busan Mayor Park Hyung-jun said, "We are developing various new jobs such as cultural and artistic jobs for people with disabilities, customized jobs for elderly people with disabilities, and smart farm jobs," adding, "We will reflect these trends in the job fair and provide demand-centered job support."
Job-seeking people with disabilities who wish to apply can participate on the online website during the Busan Disabled Online Job Fair period from the 20th to the 4th.
If online service use is difficult, support can be received by visiting the Busan City Disabled Job Integrated Support Center and the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled Busan Regional Headquarters.
On the 20th, the "42nd Disabled Persons Day Commemorative Event" will be held at the first-floor auditorium of City Hall in celebration of Disabled Persons Day.
The commemorative event, organized through public-private cooperation, will feature the opening performance of "THE Haengbok," the first private company-based orchestra for people with developmental disabilities, and the presentation of appreciation plaques to Chairman Jeong Heung-tae of Bumin Hospital and Chairman Moon Seon-hwa of Seonmin Social Welfare Association for their contributions to creating quality jobs.
