On the 14th, Joo Nak-young, mayor of Gyeongju City, visited the Presidential Transition Committee in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, to discuss current projects with Kim Byung-joon, chairman of the Regional Special Committee.

On the 14th, Mayor Ju Nak-young visited the Presidential Transition Committee in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, to discuss major pending projects in the Gyeongju area with Kim Byung-joon, Chairman of the Special Committee on Regional Balanced Development.
At the meeting, Mayor Ju emphasized the importance of the Southeast and East Coast regions and the necessity and justification of a balanced development strategy, repeatedly urging that the future development projects requested by Gyeongju City be included in the new government's national agenda.
The future development projects requested by Gyeongju City include ▲National Innovation Future Automobile Ultra-wide Industrial Belt ▲National Energy and Nuclear Innovation Project ▲National Mega Science Infrastructure Accelerator Innovation Platform ▲Strengthening Restoration and Maintenance of the Millennium City Silla Royal Capital ▲Creation of a Southeast Ultra-wide Win-win Railway Network.
Prior to this, Mayor Ju visited the Economic Subcommittees 1 and 2 at the Transition Committee's Tongui-dong headquarters to provide detailed explanations to subcommittee members about the national economic and industrial development strategy centered on future automobiles, nuclear power, and particle accelerators, and requested their inclusion in the national agenda.
At the meeting, Mayor Ju mentioned President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol's connection with Gyeongju and reiterated the importance of reflecting the region's major pending projects in the national agenda, as well as emphasizing the pledges made by President-elect Yoon during his two visits to Gyeongju as a candidate.
Mayor Ju Nak-young stated, “Ahead of the new government's launch, it is more important than anything else to reflect the region's pending tasks in the national agenda and secure next year's national budget. We will thoroughly prepare to ensure there is no administrative gap or disruption going forward.”
