[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Cube Entertainment (hereinafter ‘Cube Ent’) and Animoca Brands (hereinafter ‘Animoca’) jointly established the joint venture Animocaube Entertainment (hereinafter ‘Animocaube’) announced on the 14th that the number of applicants for the first NFT airdrop exceeded 2 million within ten days from the start date of application.
Additionally, the first NFT promotion of Animocaube was further strengthened by linking with the NFT Aggregator, which collects information on NFTs serviced by Nestree, an investment of Cube Ent, proving the effectiveness of the Nestree NFT Aggregator.
On the airdrop homepage opened on the 5th, users can receive Animocaube’s first NFT through a simple procedure linking their MetaMask personal wallet with the homepage. Thanks to global support, the application period has been extended by three days from the original period (4/5~4/15) to April 18. With about four days remaining in the application period, expectations are rising about the final number of applicants.
The first NFT, issued in the form of a video NFT, was created to satisfy both existing Cube Ent fans and global crypto users by utilizing videos of Cube Ent artists BTOB, Pentagon, (G)I-DLE, and Lightsum.
Also, on the airdrop homepage, a Gleam event, a participant lottery event, is being held to give away 430 ‘Animocaube’ 3D logo NFTs. The limited-edition ‘Animocaube’ 3D logo NFTs will later be used as a whitelist and will provide benefits for ‘Animocaube’ NFTs to be issued sequentially in the future.
Details of the first airdrop NFT and the Gleam event have been announced through ‘Animocaube’ SNS and Discord, attracting enthusiastic interest from many global fans and crypto users. To meet these fans’ expectations, ‘Animocaube’ plans to hold various events continuously. The previous day, an ‘AMA (Ask Me Anything) LIVE SESSION’ was held on the ‘Animocaube’ Discord channel, where representatives from Cube Ent and Animoca directly communicated and answered questions from global users.
Cube Ent CEO Ahn Woohyung said, “Thanks to the enthusiastic support of global users, we were able to reveal an impressive figure of over 2 million applicants for Animocaube’s first airdrop NFT within ten days,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure that many upcoming NFTs and blockchain-related collaborations extend into the music metaverse space, containing fresh K-content.”
He also stated, “We will continue to provide many guides and events linked with artists so that users new to NFTs can easily access the NFT market, and the music metaverse to be unveiled in the future will be a metaverse space that anyone can enjoy easily and conveniently.”
Meanwhile, ‘Animocaube’ is preparing for the official opening of its official website on the 19th and plans to announce the website opening schedule through SNS channels (Discord, Twitter, Instagram).
