[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Busan Senior Job Support Center is recruiting participants and participating companies for the ‘Busan 50+ Internship Project’.
The ‘Busan 50+ Internship Project’ is a company-linked job pilot project promoted with the support of Busan Bank to jointly consider and find solutions to the difficulties faced by the local 50+ generation (aged 50 to 64).
This project aims to match companies that require the experience and professional capabilities of the 50+ generation with the 50+ generation, encouraging reemployment support and social re-engagement after on-site experience.
After recruiting participants and participating companies, the project places interns in the necessary companies for three months.
The internship activity expenses are supported by the Senior Job Center, and if hired as a regular employee after the internship period, the company receives 500,000 KRW per person after six months.
The project provides stable jobs for participants and allows participating companies to hire skilled workers, making it a regional win-win project beneficial to both companies and participants.
The number of participants selected is 50, and any citizen aged 50 to under 64 can apply.
Eligibility for participating companies includes companies located in Busan, focusing on four activity areas: ▲shipping and ports, tourism, and other local-based industries ▲social economy enterprises ▲small and medium-sized enterprises ▲small business owners.
Applications for participants and participating companies can be submitted from April on the 50+ Busan portal.
For participating companies, those with workplace environment inspections and plans for regular employment will be selected first, and the placement of participant interns will be arranged in consultation with the participating companies.
The Busan Senior Job Support Center is also promoting the ‘Senior Internship Project,’ which supports companies employing people aged 60 or older with up to 400,000 KRW per month for six months.
