Expectations for Odor Reduction, Water Quality Preservation, and Improvement of Public Health Hygiene
[Muju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hanho] Muju County announced on the 14th that it will commence a drainage facility maintenance project in the areas of Muju-eup, Mupung-myeon, Seolcheon-myeon, and Anseong-myeon.
The purpose of this project is to contribute to water quality preservation and public health improvement in the Muju County area by properly treating wastewater discharged from households through the closure of septic tanks to create a pleasant environment.
?
Muju County has secured 30 million KRW in county funds and decided to start the drainage facility maintenance project targeting a total of 29 households: 15 in Muju-eup, 3 in Mupung-myeon, 2 in Seolcheon-myeon, and 9 in Anseong-myeon.
This project, which will be fully launched from this month, involves closing septic tanks and directly connecting households that have sewage pipelines passing through septic tanks to the sewage pipelines, thereby blocking septic tank odors.
Muju County expects that once this project is completed in June, it will greatly contribute to improving the quality of life for residents and enhancing river water quality.
