[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] IHG Hotels & Resorts (hereinafter IHG) is launching a new global loyalty (membership) program called ‘IHG One Rewards’.
In January this year, IHG announced new tiers and bonus point earning structures for its new loyalty program. According to the newly revamped loyalty program, members will be able to earn more points faster and use points more diversely.
The core of IHG One Rewards lies in people caring for people, respecting individuality, and rewarding customers in ways that suit them. The branding of the new rewards program uses a logo with the number ‘one (1)’ as its icon. The ‘One’ in IHG One Rewards represents not only ‘One You,’ respecting the individuality of members, but also embodies a long-term value and promise of ‘One Future,’ which aims to positively impact all people, communities, and the world we live in.
Members of ‘IHG One Rewards’ can experience IHG’s 17 hotel brands, including the world’s largest luxury and lifestyle hotels. New benefits include ▲faster point accumulation ▲welcome amenity options for Diamond Elite members with added free breakfast ▲exclusive discount promotions for free stays for Platinum Elite and Diamond Elite members ▲enhanced guidelines for hotels offering early check-in, late check-out, and room upgrades for elite members (including suites or other premium room types for Platinum Elite and Diamond Elite members when available) ▲and the introduction of a tech-enabled platform called ‘Milestone Rewards’ that allows members to choose their own rewards.
IHG One Rewards will also be launched as a new mobile application (app). The app is expected to provide convenience to customers and further develop IHG One Rewards through customer feedback. With a more personalized environment, the app enables streamlined booking processes and quick information delivery, shortened check-in times, close connections with hotels, and flexible travel schedules.
The new tiers and bonus point earnings will be reflected in all member accounts by the 17th. Additionally, all benefits, including the launch of Milestone Rewards, will be available starting early June.
