[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The National Museum of Korea will operate an educational program called "Museum, Our Dreammaru" for people with disabilities every Friday from the 15th until June 24th.
This educational program is designed to allow people with disabilities to explore our history and culture, observe related cultural assets, and creatively express their experiences.
It provides people with disabilities the opportunity to understand the major history of the Three Kingdoms period and the culture of that time through exhibits. Additionally, by using worksheets, participants creatively express patterns of various exhibits such as Goguryeo lotus-patterned roof tiles, Baekje landscape-patterned bricks, Silla gold crowns, and Gaya wheel-shaped pottery, thereby fostering an appreciation for the beauty of our cultural heritage.
The museum operates this educational program targeting special classes and special schools for people with disabilities in elementary, middle, and high schools, rehabilitation schools, and welfare centers. It plans to maintain continuous cooperation with related institutions and share educational information, reflecting the educational demands of culturally vulnerable groups and the wishes of people with disabilities to operate the program effectively.
The museum stated, "We will operate various customized educational programs and produce educational materials by type to provide people with disabilities with opportunities to enjoy beneficial experiences through museum education, appreciate our culture, and use the museum autonomously."
