[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Golden Blue announced on the 14th that it has signed an exclusive import and distribution contract with Spain's Gonzalez Byass for 'Nomad Outland Whiskey' and began sales at the end of March.
Gonzalez Byass is a representative comprehensive liquor company in Spain with a history and tradition dating back to its establishment in 1835. It produces and distributes not only whiskey but also wine, brandy, gin, and more, and its product quality has been recognized at world-renowned liquor competitions.
The Nomad Outland Whiskey launched by Golden Blue is the only 'Outland Whiskey' in Korea, a blended whiskey containing a sweet sherry aroma preferred by consumers. It is a product jointly created by Antonio Flores, Gonzalez Byass's winemaker and master blender, and Richard Paterson, a world-famous Scottish master blender.
Kim Dongwook, CEO of Golden Blue, said, "Nomad Whiskey is a new type of whiskey that undergoes a unique aging process and is part of Golden Blue's efforts to localize world-famous liquors. Along with Taiwan whiskey Kavalan, it is expected to bring a new wave of continental whiskey to the domestic whiskey market, which has been dominated by Scotch, greatly expanding consumer choices."
